Surrounding mountainscape
One view from the top. Other than the sound of the wind, it was absolutely silent. I saw no birds, heard no cars, absolutely nothing. The only other time I feel this isolated is when I’m underwater, where sounds are also muffled. Here, I felt at peace and very in tune with nature and God. I felt like I understood why religious figures take retreats into the mountains.
