Beginning of a series of paintings inside the library, which also doubles as a small-time book publisher, cultural site, and art museum. With an evocative and harsh brushstrokes, great use of linear motion to give a weathered aged look, each picture contains within it a groaning face, as if carved out of stone, a timeless depiction of suffering.
