All Roads lead to Roma…

Rome is beautiful. It is the grandest city we have ever visited. We spent four nights here, and Min will spend an extra one in a plush hotel single because he wants some alone time here. Simply seeing all the grandiose sights here took the better part of a week, and at this point we are very very tired. Actually, we are a bit numb to grand and large monuments… We have become sick of taking pictures and it is only with great reluctance that we can bother Min to take any more. The Basilicia of Saint Peter was the most eye-boggling amazing incredible momument. Tom thinks Michaelangelo is super hot dduguh.

Bella Firenza

Day 1 By Min

I’ve been looking forward to Florence the most of all the cities in our tour of Europe. I took a brief renaissance history class when I was still young and an undergrad, and learning about small Firenze was the most interesting. It’s sort of a big vs. little type of thing. It doesn’t have much in the ways of land or tourist power like romantic Venice or chic Milan, but it has the greatest collection of art and artists the world has ever known. That’s how it went politically as well, as the Medici banking influence turns sleepy Florence into a wealthy regional power – it even dominated cities with larger populations than itself.
