I apologize for the delayed posting. Matter have been hectic with finishing my application as well as moving around so often the past few days. But….
I am now in Madrid, Spain. It is miercoles , 04 de junio, 23:11. (wednesday, june 4th, 11:12pm) The hostel we´re staying in is quite neat and well-kept; it deserves great reviews it gets online. The owner, Luis, and his wife?, who looks like an older sweeter Princess Leia, are extremely kind and accomodating. I feel like we´re staying at a nice hotel, and the view of the Gran Vía in the Plaza de España is extremely beautiful.
We went to several close-by plazas, watched some street performers, ate a authentic Spanish meal, which consists of a lot of ham, cheese, and bread. Ham is the meat of choice here in Madrid, and I´m beginning to suspect that this is the case for all of Spain. We arrived extremely exhausted from the red-eye flight so I am the only one awake. I am talking to two girls from Australia, who are South-American in ethnicity, and seem to be following metal concerts all over the world. I haven´t even met the other hostel guests, and am a bit excited. Spain comes alive at around 10-11pm after an afternoon siesta, and people dot the streets heading to tapas cafes for a light dinner or a pub crawl.
Well, the internet gets cut off here at the hostel MuchoMadrid in 10 minutos, so I must conclude.
Good night everybody, and tommorow is a day for museums, palaces, and bull-fighting!
P.S.- We went to the original Zara! Well, we went to the women´s one and looked like morons, but we found the men´s one soon after. The price is much cheaper… too bad they don´t have a cheap Gap here. Btw, Sae, you ain´t here in body, but you´re here with us in spirit. Miss ya buddy.
